FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

ARE MY PROBLEMS "BIG" ENOUGH FOR THERAPY?

You are worthy of taking care of. Period. It is only human to compare your struggles to other peoples’ struggles, perhaps minimizing and invalidating your own in the process. Whether you deem them big or small, your challenges and feelings are important and deserve space. Some people come to therapy in a crisis and other people come to therapy because they feel things are going really well and they just want to stay on track - or perhaps “do the deeper work.” I believe everyone can benefit from therapy, and I am always honored to hold that space for my clients.

DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE?

I do not currently accept insurance. However, I can provide you with superbills to submit to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement. Please contact your insurance provider to determine your reimbursement rates for “out-of-network” psychotherapy prior to your enrollment in therapy.

HOW MUCH DOES THERAPY COST?

My current rate for individuals is $225 per 50-minute session, and $250 for couples, families, and relationships. I also offer 75-minute sessions at a prorated fee, which is recommended for couples and families. If available, I have limited sliding scale slots, prioritizing women, BIPOC, and LGBTQI clients under financial strain. I do not often have openings for sliding scale, so please bring this up during our consult.

HOW LONG WILL I BE IN THERAPY?

Treatment can vary from a few months to many years depending on the client’s wants and needs. Although the completion of treatment is usually decided between us together upon completion of your goals, your treatment is voluntary and you have the option of ending therapy at any time.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY

I require a 24-hour notice of cancellation in order to avoid a full payment fee for a missed session. If this is concerning due to the nature of your circumstances, please feel free to discuss this with me prior to entering treatment.
